The Next Campbell's Soup Kid
The Millilo household has had some excitement over the past week. Last Tuesday, Andrew had his flu shot and one of his immunization shots to bring him up to date. Of course, Andrew was not happy about getting them, but it needed to be done. Andrew also had to get bloodwork redone again for his thiroid to make sure that the test showed him to have normal thiroid levels, which we found out that it did. So Praise God for that. We are still waiting to see about his updated stool sample test to see if the Giardia is completely gone. I think it is since Andrew's stools are much more formed and his appetite is coming back. That might have contributed to him not being able to gain as much weight as he should be gaining. So hopefully he'll be catching up to kids his age in height and weight soon.
Andrew, Papa & Great Grandma
Sunday, we celebrated Andrew's Great Grandmother's 90th birthday with the rest of the extended Millilo family. Andrew had fun climbing up his grandfather's chest as you can see in the picture below. Papa got a real kick out of it when Andrew was practically standing on Papa's shoulders as he was holding Andrew's hands. He is quite the active little boy with a lot of energy for sure. Great Grandma enjoyed watching Andrew exploring cousin Stephanie & Joe's new home and playing with his cousins. Andrew had everyone laughing when he was showing off showing everyone how he dances by stamping his feet and shaking his head real fast, and then switching to slow dancing with Mommy by holding my two hands as he is standing and teetering slowly back and forth from one foot to the next. He also surprised everyone by giving out kisses as we were saying goodbye and waving and saying bye bye to everyone. Such an entertainer Andrew is.

Smiling Pooh Bear with Nana
Monday evening I dressed Andrew as Pooh Bear for his night out at our church for a fun night collecting candy at Hallelujah Night. My Mom and sister, Marli joined Andrew and I as he was experiencing what fun it is to collect candy from such generous strangers. He knew exactly what to do with it too. My friend, Regina saw us first and came right over to us and just had to find two handfuls of candy to give to Andrew. She showed him the candy in one of her hands to see his reaction. Andrew's eyes got real big and he then smiled real hard and grit his teeth together and squealed with delight. He never saw so much candy in so many colorful wrappers at once before. Then she showed him her other hand after he put the candy from her first handful in his bag and he squealed even louder. He was estatic and was walking all over the sanctuary having a ball getting more and more candy from anyone he saw that had a bucket. As soon as he saw someone with a bucket of candy, he would go directly over to them and get their attention until they squatted down to his level and then he'd dive into the bucket and take out as many as they would allow him. On the ride home, Andrew fell asleep in the car. So when I took him out of his car seat and into the house, he was still asleep on my shoulder. Since I had to get him out of his costume and into a new diaper and sleeper outfit to put him to bed, I laid him on the floor to change him. When I took off his costume, he turned over on his stomach to sleep with his butt in the air, I noticed he was smiling real big as he was sleeping. I leaned over him to give him a kiss on his cheek and was still smiling. It was so sweet to see him dreaming of the fun he just had that night at church collecting so much candy.
Having fun pushing my stool around.
