Andrew is Feeling Better

This morning we were playing with Andrew inside again and this afternoon they said we could take him outside if we stayed in the outside room to guard him from the wind. Andrew is doing much better today. His is becoming more active and was longing to break free from caral (outside room) and run around with the other kids. They are continuing to give him the medicine which has helped a lot. Andrew is breathing easier now that his nose is draining and his temperature is back to normal and I didn’t hear any congestion in his chest today. Praise God for that.

It’s been warm the last few days in the mornings as well as the afternoon so we are glad to be outside playing with Andrew. Andrew was playing on his motorcycle today and was figuring out how to move it forward on his own by scooting it forward by moving his feet. Him and I got so excited that he was moving it towards me that he forgot to hold onto it with his hands and fell off of it.

When we were outside in the caral room (with a gate barricading the entrance way) a few other little boys came over to see what was going on with us. They stood there at the railing near where Robert was sitting and Andrew was across the room and stood and watched his Daddy talk to another child. Andrew’s eyes got all wide and he started running towards his Daddy with a big smile on his face and his hands in the air for his Daddy to pick him up. If that wasn’t a protective reaction to a new kid showing some attention to “his Daddy”, I don’t know what else it could be.
